The Idle No More movement has captured the imaginations of Indigenous rights activists and allies the world over, sparking a broad-based movement to forge new relations between peoples and with the land.
Nothing can really convey the power of moments where people come together to realize their collective strength, but we thought we’d try anyway. When we put the call out to activists and photographers to share their best photographs documenting the movement, over a hundred people responded. Narrowing down the field was extremely difficult. What follows is a series of glimpses into the diversity, creativity, and courage at the heart of Idle No More.
